Today I went to Target. The main reason I needed to go was to get some kitchen trash bags, because we are totally out.
Guess what. I came home with $40 worth of merchandise ... and not a trash bag to be found amidst it all.
DUH!
Unfortunately, Target has that effect on me. :(

This is very funny. I have done that so many times. You are not in this one alone.
LOL. To funny. I can't believe you forgot them! I do that all the time too. I go out for something specific and get totally side-tracked and forget to get the one thing I needed! That's soo frustrating!
Target has that effect on me as well! LOL Pretty funny...at least you only got out with $40 worth...mine receipt seems to find it's way up to $50 and above. Madness! lol I really should just resolve not to shop there.
